About Me
In 2007 I graduated from Humanities at Charles University in Prague. Since my youth, I was fascinated by the differences of cultures, the mentality of people, and also by the way we learn to name and to comprehend the world around us. I travelled the world and learned languages. For several years I worked as a language teacher for children and adults, then I spent 10 years working in HR where I have been through a variety of relevant trainings and certification programs.
Thanks to my experience with teaching children and adults, I have come to realize that language essentially shapes our perception of the world and of ourselves. We name a certain "reality" and thus actually create it ourselves. In childhood, the adults around us do this for us. During this time, we absorb a lot of information and store patterns that can influence us throughout our lives - without being fully aware of it.
The opportunity to teach has also given me the chance to experiment in the field of pedagogy and andragogy. How do you awaken children's interest in learning, how do you motivate adults so that their interest doesn't wane after a while? How do you help in moments of insecurity, lack of self-confidence, how to overcome previous experiences of failure or shame? And can these be replaced by new, positive events? All of those were very valuable experiences that I still draw from today.
It fulfills me to help others and accompany them in the process of personal development. We cannot undo the past. But we can shape our future by what we do in the present. Even small changes can have a big impact on quality of our life. And it's never too late! Even the slowest pilgrim who sets out on a journey is closer to their goal than the one who stays hidden in a corner.
I currently work with the organizations listed below and support them on the following topics:
Stress and Time Management, Conflict Management, Respectful Communication, Anxiety Management, Resilience and Burnout Prevention, etc.
